sandra byrd

Sandra Byrd earned her first rejection at the age of thirteen and has now published more than forty books, including a Christy Award finalist and two Library Journal Best Book Picks. Before she began writing full-time, Sandra worked in marketing, sales, and acquisitions for an educational publisher. She and her husband have two children, and keep house and garden in Seattle, where they recently moved. They have a Provence-inspired front garden and a beautiful view of a lake (but no yard work!) in the back. Besides a variety of flowers, Sandra grows blueberries, squash, chocolate cherry tomatoes—and even a nest of little birds in one side of the geranium window box. Find out more about Sandra at www.sandrabyrd.com.

You have a very pretty backyard. I like your 3-wheeled trike that holds plants. And your hammock... It looks, oh, so inviting. Like a perfect place to curl up and read a book or take a nap! :)

A house by the water ~ what could be more inspiring to write by? I'll have to plan a visit, Sandra. ;)
